今週ロージナ茶会というのに行って話をすることになった。白田秀彰先生とは去年CPSR/Japanか何かの会合でお会いしたきりだったと思うが、クリエイティヴ・コモンズだの著作権の問題だのに関していろいろお話が伺えればうれしく思う。
しかし国立行くのは久しぶりだなあ。とある事情で割と頻繁に通っていた時期があるのだが、23:15の電車に乗れないと家に帰れないとか結局いつもバーミヤンで飯とかいろいろせつない場所だった。というか終電逃したら泊めてくれ > 公文(笑)
_ [Life] 日記とコメント
東浩紀さんの日記はここ数日コメント欄が大いに荒らされていて、どうなるかなと思っていたのだが、結局はてなにアカウントがある人のみが書き込めるように設定を変えたようだ。賢明な判断だと思う。しかし、私が言うのもなんだが、野放しにされていい気になっている奴が多すぎる。少なくとも他人を批判するときは、実名でやるべきだと私は思う。
私の日記に関しても、コメント欄を止めろという意見(?)が出ていた。まあ、確かに本当に言いたいことがあれば直接メールを送ってくれればよいわけだし、前にも書いたがtDiaryのツッコミ機能はあまり込み入った議論には向いていないし、止めてしまおうかと思ったこともあるのだが、とりあえず当面は残しておく。
というのは、やはり読者との距離をあまり作りたくないからだ。読者から遠ざかれば遠ざかるほど、私の言うことが空理空論に近づいていくような気がする。今のところ私はかなりオープンソースの「現場」に近いところにいる(と思う)ので、細かいところはまあ、いろいろおかしいところがあると思うが、オープンソース・ハッカーの実感から丸っきり乖離したことは書いていないという自信がある。しかし、そのうち現場から遠ざかれば、おそらく間抜けなことを書き始めるに違いない。そのための安全弁として、読者からの批判(もちろん的外れなものから鋭い指摘まであってよい)は有効に機能すると私は信ずる。まあ、プロの書き手から見れば青臭い考えだと思うが、ある意味「趣味」なので、多少こだわってもよいでしょう。
ついでに言うと、久しぶりにアクセスログを見てみたのだが、いわゆる「荒らし」に近いコメントをする人は実はどうやら一人しかいないらしいことに気づいて拍子抜けする。わざわざハンドルネーム(と最近言うかどうかは知らないが)をいちいち変えて書き込んでくださっているようだ。
人生一回きりなのだし、私みたいな若造に粘着してもしょうがないと思うのですが...。これは嫌味でもなんでもなくて、本音です。前にも書いたのだけれど、自分の意見を自分のページで展開したほうが楽しいですよ。

www.opensource.jpをやらせていたorisというマシンがお亡くなりに成ったので、OSDやGPLの訳は現在参照できません。数日で復旧できるはずなので、それまではGoogleのキャッシュなりInternet Archiveなりを参照してください。
_ [Sun Ra] Super-Sonic Jazz / Sun Ra and his Arkestra
日本ではSun Raを「サン・ラ」と発音・表記することが多いが、このアルバムのライナーを読むと「The name RA is prounounced RAH.」とはっきり書いてあるので、どうも御大自身は「サン・ラー」と言って欲しかったようだ。というようなトリビアはさておき、これはごく初期の音源で、1956年の2月から10月にかけて行われた4回の録音の内容をまとめたもの。サン・ラーの創造力はこの時期最初のピークに達したようで、Angels and Demons at PlayやWe Travel the Spaceways、Sun Songなど優れた作品をいくつも残しているが、当然この作品も「1956年もの」の一枚として聞き逃せない内容を誇る。ミディアムテンポの渋いブルーズや現代音楽の影響を顕著に感じさせる曲から、ビバップの方法論をサン・ラーなりに消化した「普通のジャズ」っぽい演奏に至るまで、アルバムを通じた統一感が全くないあたり、実にすがすがしい。その中では名曲El is a Sound Of Joyの初演が聞けるのが興味深いか。おすすめ。
